Dr. Jean Paul Lim

Jean-Paul grew up in Toronto, Ontario before moving to Vancouver, BC, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology on an academic scholarship, his medical degree, a three-year residency in Internal Medicine, a fellowship in General Internal Medicine and a six-month Echocardiography fellowship — all at the University of British Columbia.

After completing his medical training more than thirteen years ago, Jean-Paul’s practice of complex care has taught him the importance of a holistic approach to keeping his patients healthy and well. He has completed his anti-aging courses with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and become a medical leader in the medicinal cannabis space. Fundamentally, he believes health is best treated proactively rather than retroactively: true health is built on a solid foundation of proper diet, exercise and nutrients before more complex issues are addressed, and his vision is to see the person as a whole rather than simply a sum of their parts. In his free time, Jean-Paul most enjoys spending time with his wife and young children and playing a variety of sports.
